Trails, Tales & Tunes is a ten day festival that takes place every May in Norris Point, a picturesque community located in the heart of beautiful Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland. The very popular Trails, Tales and Tunes local festival features a unique blend of walks, workshops, storytelling, culinary adventures, concerts, kitchen parties and boat tours. The event showcases local talent and selected guests from around the country and beyond. The town of Norris Point is the perfect setting for this celebration of culture and community.

The annual Gros Morne Theatre Festival features high quality professional theatre. Theatre Newfoundland Labrador is a theatre company dedicated to the creation and development of new plays for and about the people of Newfoundland
Theatre Newfoundland and Labrador has been in existence for over 25 years. Its annual summer showcase of stories, songs and culture returns to one of the most pristine locations on the entire island. The theatre offers a journey through our history and culture featuring traditional Newfoundland music and stories that have been gathered over the years from Newfoundland traditional singers, musicians and poets.
The annual Gros Morne Theatre Festival features two theatre performances nightly at the Nurse Myra Bennet Center for Performing Arts in the community of Cow Head situated at the northern boundary of the Gros Morne National Park.

Camber Arts

Woody Point – July & August
Camber Arts formerly known as the Gross Morne Summer Music Festival has been in existence since 2003. Since that time Gros Morne Summer Music (GMSM) has grown from a small classical music festival to a year-round celebration of performing arts on the west coast of Newfoundland.
Heard regularly on CBC radio across the country, Gros Morne Summer Music features classical, jazz, blues, traditional, choral music, musical theatre, rock shows, dance, outdoor spectacles and more. Join world-class musicians from Europe, America, Canada and down the road in an atmosphere that is chatty, welcoming, and warm. This festival is spectacular!

Anchors Aweigh Soiree

Join Anchors Aweigh for a night of live entertainment at the Anchor Pub in the Ocean View Hotel for “Pub Night”.
The Anchors Aweigh Band show is a must on the list of things to do for both residents and visitors. Filled with renditions of popular Newfoundland and Labrador songs and tunes, sprinkled with one-liners and wit, and a display of culture, this very talented group of five local musicians is one of the most widely-attended acts in the whole province. Visitors come from far and wide to see this performance!

Writers at Woody Point Literary Festival
Features famous and well known Canadian musical performances, writers and authors
Woody Point – August
The annual Writers at Woody Point Literary Festival presents its successful format of readings, musical performances, and other arts’ events the third week in August in 2023. Always featured are presentations by acclaimed musicians, author readings and musical entertainers at the Woody Point Heritage Theatre in the heart of beautiful Gros Morne National Park.
The festival is organized and presented by Friends of Writers at Woody Point and each year has played to sold-out audiences. Recognized writers, artists and scientists are drawn here from around the world.
The lovely and historic western Newfoundland village of Woody Point, situated on the south shore of Bonne Bay is surrounded by the breathtaking landscape of Gros Morne National Park.
