A Geological Wonder

Climb aboard our catamaran, the EMM-CAT, and sail back into the ice age with us. Get up close and personal and hear the history of the formation of the Tablelands in Gros Morne National Park. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this is one of the few places on Earth where we can see our planet’s mantle, the layer between the Earth’s core and the continental crust. Formed 450 million years ago, through the collision of continents, admire the creation of the Tablelands’ elevated plateaus of the Long Range Mountains. They are a site to behold.

Cruising Bonne Bay with a warm ocean breeze in your face and the majestic Tableland Mountains towering above you, never gets old. Join our guided tour through a natural landscape shaped by ancient glaciers; spot bald eagles, moose, whales, and seabirds; and get an up-close peek at a charming Newfoundland fishing village. It’s more than a tour—it’s a journey through time and nature.

Our Bonne Bay Tour is not just experiencing the breathtaking coastal scenery, fascinating geological wonders, and vibrant marine life, but is a true Newfoundland cultural experience. Our talented musicians will entertain you on board with traditional NL music and song. You’ll hear the stories and see the spirit of Woody Point; a proud small-town community rooted in history and heart. And if you’re visiting from “Away,” you won’t want to miss becoming an Honourary Newfoundlander in our traditional Screech-In ceremony. Don’t worry—kissing a cod, sampling our very own Screech rum, and learning to speak like a local are all part of the fun. You’ll even take home an official certificate to prove it!
